Every associate’s reason for giving back through our associate giving campaign, Mission Possible, is unique. For Jenny Springer, Executive Assistant at Ascension Mercy, her participation is inspired by her commitment to serving others.
Why do you choose to give back through our associate giving campaign, Mission Possible?
In a non-clinical role, it can be tough to feel like you're truly helping patients. Mission Possible is one of the meaningful ways I can touch patient lives and make a real difference for them. I have also seen how that extra financial support can really enhance the quality of our care.
What inspires you to give back?
I believe we are all called by God to serve others. I am constantly inspired by the generous examples set by my parents, leaders and peers.
What area of care do you choose to support and why?
I opted to support Mercy’s greatest needs so the resources can be utilized wherever the demand is most urgent.
Having the right resources in place is critical for our patients, especially when time is of the essence. Sometimes it's just being able to help financially with prescriptions and rides to and from appointments that can make a big difference.
Why do you think fellow associates should participate in Mission Possible?
I think that if you believe in what you do and are passionate about it, it's only natural to include financial support. It's not the amount that you give, but the fact that you're doing what you can.
Contributing to Mission Possible is fast and easy. You can allocate your funds to a specific hospital, a particular department or the area of greatest need. You will not regret it!
