The new year started with positivity and celebration as two Guardian Angel awards were presented at Ascension All Saints.
Dr. Robert Gullberg, an infectious disease physician, was recognized by a patient for caring with kindness, concern and unwavering compassion. That patient shared:
"From the very first appointment, Dr. Gullberg really listened and looked at me as not only a patient but as a person. Dr. Gullberg diagnosed my MS, he listened and connected things I have been telling providers for years. Dr. Gullberg’s knowledge and experience has enabled me to get treatment and support. As a single parent of an adult child with physical and intellectual disabilities knowing my diagnosis and getting the best treatment was imperative! I am so very thankful that Dr. Gullberg is my doctor and feel he really is a guardian angel for many, he definitely is for me."
The cardiac rehab team at Ascension All Saints also received praise from a recent patient, writing that:
"They were absolutely the best group to work with after my heart attack. Everyone was fantastic and listened to my concerns. I can't say enough great things about them. The classes were very informative and I really was able to walk away with great information. During the actual rehab session, I felt comfortable pushing myself further because they were there and I really felt like they were concerned for my well being. Had some good laughs which made it more relaxed to go, considering the situation. I want to thank them all for the great job they did and for listening to me during a time that was very hard mentally for me. I didn't believe it was happening to me. Thank you all so much!"
Guardian Angel, a program of Ascension Wisconsin Foundation, extends an invitation for patients to recognize any associate, or team of associates, that made a difference in their care. Learn more at giveAWForg/guardian-angel.
